Al Duhail First Football Team Head Coach Djamel Belmadi stressed that he had been working hard to lead the team to continue their winning streak and score goals during last night’s game versus Al Sadd, which ended in a goalless draw. In this match, Al Duhail players wasted many goal-scoring opportunities that could have secured all the match points.
Belmadi began his post-match statements by saying: “The team presented an average first half, which necessitated our intervention from the sidelines and making some tactical adjustments. We indeed made some substitutions between the two halves, and they were fruitful changes. We were clearly able to impose our control over the second half and created many chances in front of Al Sadd goal compared to the first half, which saw fewer opportunities from our side.”
Belmadi concluded his statements by saying: “The negative point that needs to be addressed is the absence of attacking effectiveness in front of the goal. We had scored 12 goals in only two matches against Umm Salal and Al Arabi, and we hoped to continue this rising offensive rhythm, but unfortunately, luck was not with us this time, and we were unable to score.”
