Belmadi: Al Wahda is an organized team, and there is no room for a slip-up in tomorrow’s match…

Al Duhail First Football Team Head Coach Djamel Belmadi stressed the importance of the match versus Al Wahda in the third round of the AFC Champions League Elite and the necessity of winning it and returning with the three points.

Belmadi opened his statements during the pre-match press conference by saying: “Tomorrow’s match is of great importance to us, and winning it is very necessary, especially after the stumbling start in the league phase and not achieving any victory during the previous two matches, which is not commensurate with the ambitions of the club and our fans. Stumbling again is unacceptable, as we know the value of the club and its aspirations to always reach the top.”

Belmadi continued: “We presented strong performances in the tournament, first against Al Hilal and also the match versus Al Ahli, and we deserved more than what we achieved, but we were not lucky in both matches.”

Belmadi added: “The international break was difficult and affected the team’s preparations due to the large number of international players in the squad. Al Moez Ali will miss the match due to injury, but I confirm that the rest of the team members are ready for tomorrow’s game against Al Wahda.”

Belmadi concluded his statements by saying: “Al Wahda is an organized team and one of the high-quality teams, but I have confidence in the players and their ability to show the appropriate reaction in order to achieve a positive result that will bring the team back into the competition.”
