Al Duhail First Football Team Djamel Belmadi expressed his disappointment following the team’s 3-2 defeat against their hosts, Al Shorta of Iraq, in the final round of the AFC Champions League Elite league stage.

Speaking at the post-match press conference, Belmadi stated: “I have nothing to say after this loss; we are deeply disappointed. We came here with high ambitions to secure a victory and guarantee qualification for the next round.”

It is worth noting that despite tonight’s loss, Al Duhail still holds one of the eight qualifying spots, currently sitting in seventh place. The team now awaits tomorrow’s results at the conclusion of Round 8 to determine their final standing in the ACL Elite league stage.
