Al Duhail First Football Team Captain Al Moez Ali emphasized the importance of staying positive in the upcoming period following the team draw against Al Shahaniya in Round 4 of the Doha Bank Stars League, stressing that there is still a long way to go in the league campaign.

Speaking in a television interview, Al Moez said: “Of course, we were aiming for all three points, but we didn’t perform at the level required to achieve that. In the first half, we created several chances but failed to capitalize on them properly. Then, from a single chance in the second half, Al Shahania scored.”

He added: “We fought back to equalize before the end of the second half. We need to work much harder on our attack. I don’t see any missing players as an excuse—all of our squad members are active either with various national teams or the first team.”

Al Moez concluded: “We must work harder and stop wasting time making excuses. My message to the players is to keep their heads up. We are still at the beginning, and this was only our fourth match in the league. We know it’s our third draw, but we have to look at things positively. Ultimately, we secured a point today rather than losing. Moving forward, we need to take the initiative in upcoming matches, score first, and keep clean sheets.
