Boulebina: Cup Matches are Won, Not Played; the Most Important Thing is the Victory…

Al Duhail First Football Team Winger Adel Boulebina emphasized the importance of today’s victory over Al Waab, which secured the team’s qualification for the quarterfinal round the Amir Cup. His remarks came during a televised interview following the match.

Speaking to the Al-Majlis program on Al-Kass Sports Channels, Boulebina opened by saying: “Congratulations to us, and we wish better luck to Al Waab, whose players demonstrated a great game. Cup matches are certainly won, not played. There are no real gaps between teams in these competitions; the most important thing is the final result. We will take it match by match, step by step, to go as far as possible in the tournament.”

Boulebina concluded his statement by saying: “Every tournament has its own character. While we have drifted a bit from the league title race, we still have the Amir Cup and the AFC Champions League Elite. We will strive to reach the furthest point in every competition we are contesting.”

It is worth noting that Adel Boulebina was named “Man of the Match” for today’s game, following his standout performance and key role in guiding the team to the next round of the Amir Cup.
