Al Duhail First Football Team secured a thrilling 2–1 victory over the Yemeni Side Shaab Hadramout in Matchday 2 of Group A in the Gulf Club Champions League, played at Thani bin Jassim Stadium in Al Gharafa Sports Club.

The Storms took the lead in the 72nd minute through young player Yazan Hani, who neatly finished a pinpoint left-wing cross from Sultan Al Brake into the back of the net with a single touch.

Shaab Hadramout surprised everyone in the 83rd minute, catching an equalizer with a powerful strike from outside the penalty box.

However, in the final minute of the five added minutes of stoppage time, Bassam Al Rawi successfully converted a penalty kick to clinch the winner for Al Duhail, sealing the match at 2–1.

With this result, Al Duhail increased their tally to six points, standing sole top of Group A at the conclusion of the second round of fixtures.
