Al Duhail First Football Team Moroccan International Hakim Ziyech emphasized that he, along with the rest of his teammates, is aware of the difficulty of facing Al Sadd in the Qatar Cup final next Saturday.
Ziyech began his statements during today’s pre-match press conference by saying: “It’s the final match, but we are ready to face a strong team. Based on my experience, anything can happen, but I am confident in the quality of the team to deliver a very good match. The season in general has been good for us despite losing the league title to Al Sadd, but we can win this title.”
Ziyech: “There are two competing teams in the Qatar Cup final. Of course, I am aware of losing the league title in the final moments, but we must forget what happened and put on a bigger and stronger performance and win this title. It is, of course, a different tournament with different motivations, and there is no room to talk about revenge or anything similar. We must enter the match completely detached from such feelings and talk of revenge.”
Ziyech added: “I am not completely satisfied with my performance, but this is the reality now, and there is no room for excuses. What I want to do is train strongly and perform in a way that matches my abilities and the team potential, and I know that I have come a long way in achieving that. We still have two tournaments this season, and I assure you that we will make every effort to win these two tournaments.”
Ziyech concluded: “I am well aware that what happened from my side during my substitution in the semifinal match versus Al Gharafa was not appropriate, and I was not satisfied with it, but it was just temporary tension on the field. I apologized to the coach after the end of the match.
