Al Duhail Closes in on Top Spot with Victory Over Al Shamal…

Al Duhail First Football Team managed to secure a two-nil victory over their guests, Al Shamal, in a match from the eighth round of the Doha Bank Stars League.

Al Duhail, led by Djamel Belmadi, entered the match with the following starting lineup of players:
(30) Bautista Burke (goalkeeper), (4) Youssef Ayman, (5) Bassam Al Rawi, (6) Marco Verratti, (8) Edmilson Junior, (9) Krzysztof Piątek, (10) Luis Alberto, (12) Karim Boudiaf, (21) Jean Casteletto, (24) Homam Al Amin, (81) Tahsin Mohammed.

The 26th minute witnessed a real translation of Al Duhail squandered chances after Piątek managed to give “The Tornado” the lead, converting a magical pass from his teammate Marco Verratti into Al Shamal net.

In the 36th minute, Karim Boudiaf almost reached Al Shamal net, had it not been for the brilliance of the Al Shamal goalkeeper who saved the ball and cleared it away from his goal.

In the 41st minute, our young player, Tahsin Mohammed, added Al Duhail second goal after converting Piątek’s header with his right foot into Al Shamal goal, giving Al Duhail a two-goal advantage.

With this victory, Al Duhail balance rose to 11 points, narrowing the gap with Al Shamal, the league leader, to 3 points.
