Al Duhail quickly entered the match with an early first goal in the second minute, thanks to Edmilson Junior’s brilliant shot that nestled in the top left corner of the Shabab Al Ahli goalkeeper’s net.

After several missed chances in front of the Shabab Al Ahli goal, Benjamin Bourigeaud added Al Duhail second goal with a precise shot from outside the penalty area that went into the far left corner of Shabab Al Ahli goal, giving Al Duhail a two-nil lead.

In the 42nd minute Shabab Al Ahli managed to reduce the score with a header that went into the net, ending the first half with Al Duhail leading by two goals to one.

In the 58th minute, Adlène Guedioura added Al Duhail third goal with a more-than-wonderful shot following a superb pass from Benjamin Bourigeaud.

In the 78th minute, a shot from Luis Alberto nearly added the fourth goal, but Shabab Al Ahli goalkeeper tipped it away with his fingertips for a corner kick.

In the second minute of second-half stoppage time, Luis Alberto completely extinguished Shabab Al Ahli’s hopes by adding the fourth goal, concluding Al Duhail scoring, and the match ended with a 4-1 victory for Al Duhail.

The victory raised Al Duhail points to four, temporarily moving them up to sixth place in the standings table
