Al Duhail First Football Team Head Coach Djamel Belmadi emphasized the importance and intensity of the upcoming clash versus Al Rayyan, scheduled for next Friday at Abdullah bin Khalifa Stadium.

Opening his remarks during the pre-match press conference, Belmadi stated: “A tough encounter awaits us against a strong side in the league. In the first half of the season, the result was disappointing for us considering the number of chances we created. However, this is a new match, and we will give our all to secure the victory.”

Belmadi continued: “Mathematically, we are currently not in agood position in the league standing table, but if you look at our recent results, there is a clear improvement in both performance and results. We must continue on this path to achieve more wins, which will allow us to close in on the top teams—starting with a victory in the next match.”

He added: “We have managed to keep clean sheets in several consecutive games, which is a positive indicator that the team is working well. Al Wahda match in the Challenge Shield was not a surprise to me because I work with these players daily and know their potential. I was very impressed by the collective performance and the fighting spirit the players showed, especially since we played with a numerical disadvantage for most of the match. The players deserve full credit and praise for that.”

Belmadi concluded: “Regarding the title race, the situation is clear given the current points gap. Nevertheless, hope always remains. A club of Al Duhail stature must always be at the top. The priority right now is securing wins; after beating Qatar SC, Al Shahania, and Al Wakra, our focus is now entirely on defeating Al Rayyan. We will evaluate our position after that, which is only natural and expected for a club like Al Duhail.
