Al Duhail First Team Head Coach Djamel Belmadi stressed his sadness at losing today’s match to Al Wahda in the AFC Champions League Elite, which took place in the UAE capital, Abu Dhabi, during statements he made after the end of the match.

Belmadi began his statements during the post match press conference by saying: “Of course, we had the ambition to win before the confrontation with Al Wahda, but unfortunately, we suffered our second loss in this round of the tournament. We lost balance and sufficient possession of the ball, and that, in my view, is the reason behind this loss.”

Belmadi concluded his statements by saying: “Whenever we lost the ball, we faced danger from Al Wahda players. Of course, it is difficult for us to have only a single point from our first three matches in the league stage. Qualifying for the league stage came with difficulty through a play-off match. We performed well against Al Hilal and Al Ahli and deserved more than we achieved in those two matches. Today’s match versus Al Wahda was not good at all, and that is clearly a cause for concern.
