Al Duhail football team managed to qualify to Round of 16 following distinguished performance they presented in the Group Stage. The team was drawn into Group C alongside Al Taawon (KSA), Sapahan Esfahan (Iran) and Pakhtakor (Uzbekistan).

After losing their opening group match to Al Taawon, Al Duhail managed to achieve victory in five consecutive games to become the group leader with 15 points and scoring 17 goals while conceiving 9 goals.

Our striker Edmilson Da Silva is on top of the competition goal scorers with 8 goals as he excelled in all the matches he played and scored a hatrick versus Pakhtakor.
