Al Duhail Head Coach Hernan Crespo described their coming match versus Al Kharaitiyat in Amir Cup 2023 as important. The coach said in the pre-match press conference held today at 11:40 am in the Club’s press conference hall: Indeed it is a different tournament and all the team players are ready for this match, and we know the great pressure on our players because of our participation in the AFC Champions League, as well as our last match versus Al Arabi. We worked during the previous period to recover the players, and the players need energy because of the great efforts they exerted recently. The team is ready for this match.

The coach said: No such thing as easy game in football. I know that we in Al Duhail have a strong team, but this does not mean that the match versus Al Kharaitiyat will be easy. We respect the opponent and focus on the team players. There are some difficulties with a number of players due to injuries, but we will preserve the identity of the team. We will work to qualify for the next stage of the competition.

The coach concluded: Unfortunately, we did not play any match with a full professional squad. We missing two important players Semedo and Edmilson, and throughout my time with the team, the squad was not in full swing, but the strength of the team is in the group, as this group leads the league and reached the final of the Qatar Cup, and in the next match we might witness the return of Semedo, while Edmilson won’t be ready.
