Al Duhail First Football Team Midfielder Assim Madibo emphasized the importance of today’s victory over Al Sailiya in the opening round of the Doha Bank Stars League.

Speaking to Al Kass channels after the match, Madibo said: “We hope this marks the ideal start for the team. The journey is still long, and this is one of the rare occasions where Al Duhail is not participating in continental competitions—specifically the AFC Champions League. We feel sad about that, but we have a lot of work ahead. We must correct our mistakes and shift our mindset to reclaim the dominant position the team used to hold.”

He added: “The situation over the last four years is not what we are accustomed to, as we always aspire to be among the best. We have young players alongside high-quality talent, and God willing, we aim to secure titles this season.”
