Al-Moez: The Group Is Strong and We’re Playing To Qualify

Al-Moez Ali, our team captain, confirmed that Al-Duhail is completely ready to play its first match in the AFC Champions League against the Saudi Al-Taawun team, and that they are planning to win. Al-Moez said in his speech to the press conference that was held this evening at the Golden Tulip Hotel: “Our match against Al-Taawoun has a special character because Al-Taawoun is one of the strong teams within the group, and we, for our part, will play to achieve the first victory and achieve the start we want, which will undoubtedly give us an additional impetus to help us pass to the next round of the competition.”

Al-Moez said: “The team succeeded in winning the Prince’s Cup and now we are here to continue to put on a good show and achieve the required results. The team has good players and we know the strength of all the clubs that will face us, but we are at the top of our determination to pass to the next round.”

Al-Moez continued: “Last season, we were suffering from absences, which made our journey in the championship short, but this time we participate in complete ranks and, God willing, we will achieve what is required of us.”
“In the group stage, we must collect points and all clubs are qualified to advance in the rankings, but what will undoubtedly differentiate is persistence and the desire to win, and we must play each match differently and separately from the other match in order to focus on achieving the result we want and we know that the opening match is the most important.”
