Edmilson, soaring winger and cunning scorer

Since joining the team in July 2018, the Belgian-Brazilian Edmilson da Silva has secured a key place in the Al Duhail squad with all the coaches who lead the team. Beginning with Tunisian coach Nabil Maaloul, Portuguese Roy Faria, French Sabri Lemouchi, Moroccan Walid Rekraki, Portuguese Luis Castro and finally Argentine Hernan Crespo. Edmilson continued to maintain his place as one of the key players the team depends on in its domestic and continental matches.

The player was able to showcase his skills and become one of the important names that always make a difference on the field. In the league, Edmilson participated with Al Duhail in 74 matches and was able to score 28 goals. However, his best contribution was in the play making and winning the team the Emir Cup in 2019 and 2022.
This is what happened and is still happening with the team in the AFC Champions League, where the player has appeared with Al Duhail in 22 matches so far. He was able to aid with more than 28 assists and scored by himself on 8 occasions.

The player’s first goal in the AFC Champions League was against Iran’s Esteghlal team on May 5, 2019, the goal came in the 55th minute. Whereas his last goal was against Pakhtakor Uzbekistan on the 10th of April and ended for Al Duhail with three goals to two.

Everyone is waiting for the player to continue working with his teammates in order to pass the group stage of the AFC Champions League and win against the Saudi Al-Taawoun teams and the Iranian Sepahan in the fifth and sixth rounds.
