Coach Hernan Crespo confirmed that Al Duhail succeeded in crossing the group stage after proving themselves and their identity on the field and after a difficult victory over Al Taawon in today’s match. Speaking to the press conference held after the end of the match, the coach said: “Although we were late, we managed to come back in the second half, and even the goals that conceded our net came from defensive errors. Our level was not bad, but we missed a number of opportunities that were capable of turning the result. In the second half we entered the stadium fully focused and we succeeded in returning to the match and winning after we respected our opponent. We imposed our style on the field and came out with the results that we wanted and we qualified for the next round of the competition.”
