A successful season for our teams in all tournaments

Success didn’t only follow the first football team last season, but it also included the age group teams and the handball team, where they played at a top level and reached the podiums in various competitions and achieved many championships.

Although our first football team came second in the league championship, they managed to win the Emir Cup title after beating Al-Gharafa in the final 5-1.
In the AFC Champions League, the team was in Group D along with Saudi Al-Taawoun, Iran’s Sepahan Isfahan and Uzbekistan’s Pakhtakor clubs. The team managed to lead in its group and advanced to the round of 16.

The team is expected to return to training on the fifteenth of this month, where it will start the internal preparation period for the new season, which will last until June 30. Then the team will fly to the Krumers Alpine Hotel in Seefeld, Austria, where it will start the second preparation period in its closed camp, which will start on the 1st of July until the 18th. The international team players will be absent from the preparation period due to being in the national team camp in Spain to prepare for participating in the 2022 World Cup.

Our handball team was able to secure most of the season’s tournaments titles, as the first team won the League title and the Qatar Handball Association Cup and finished its season with the Amir Cup, and the youth and junior teams won the league title.

The club’s age groups managed to win most of the competitions, after the under-17, under 14, and under 15 categories won the cup championship. While the under-19 team won the Refresher Course Cup. The Cubs got the general excellence shield for the fourth year in a row.
